Grand Marais Campground and Marina Professional Review and Guide
"This enormous campground right on the edge of Grand Marais does not offer the same ambience as camping in the Boundary Waters. But if you’re looking for a gentle camping experience with plenty of amenities, as well as easy access to the charming town of Grand Marais, this is not a bad option. The proximity to Grand Marais, with its robust summer tourism, makes it very popular, and reservations should be made well in advance.
It has a great location on Lake Superior, with two boat ramps for easy boating. There are plenty of other recreational offerings, including a playground and nearby hiking and biking trails. If you don’t want to be/can’t be unplugged, here you have the option to access Wi-Fi. There’s little in the way of privacy or trees here, but it’s a reasonable alternative to the more expensive hotels nearby. Pets are allowed."
