Cascade River State Park

Cascade River State Park Professional Review and Guide

"This park is a hiker’s paradise, with 18 miles of highly scenic trails that wind along the Cascade River, which is a fast-moving river with waterfalls. Part of the Superior Hiking Trail runs through the park, and trails also connect to the North Shore State Trail.

In winter 17 miles of groomed cross- country ski trails of varying difficulty levels await. The main campground is fairly crowded, but the backpack sites are set well into the park and provide a more deep-nature experience. Pets are allowed."
