Brant Lake to Kekekabic Lake

Brant Lake to Kekekabic Lake Professional Review and Guide

"This trip goes west through several small lakes and accesses three large, popular, base camp lakes. It connects to routes from other entry points. The fishing opportunities for lake trout are plentiful, and brook trout are available.

The large lakes are studded with scenic islands and Gabimichigami Lake has 400 foothills rising from its shorelines. Moose, beaver, mink, and otter are frequently seen. Some of the portages are rugged but not exceptionally long. The return trip retraces the route, with alternate routes mentioned. Independence Day storm–affected area."
