Lake Superior-St Louis River to Two Harbors

Lake Superior-St. Louis River to Two Harbors Professional Review and Guide

"The sand beach of Minnesota Point gives way to the craggy shore that characterizes most of Lake Superior’s North Shore. The shoreline can be traveled by canoe, but a sea kayak is better suited to these unprotected and often windswept waters.

The “difficulty” of Lake Superior depends on weather and season. Calm summer weather is the time for a casual outing near shore. High winds, big waves, and cold water are best left to experts. A beginner can enjoy the lake by keeping an eye on the weather and paddling with more-
experienced boaters."
