Otter Tail River-Rochert to Frazee

Otter Tail River-Rochert to Frazee Professional Review and Guide

"The Otter Tail cuts a gentle but lively course through coniferous and hardwood forest and farm fields. The paddling starts at the CR 29 bridge. Running the culvert can be tricky. Your best bet is to put in downstream of the bridge. Several tubing vendors operate on this stretch. During warm summer days, especially weekends, expect plenty of company for the next 5 miles.

The Wannigan Road bridge (river mile 154.1) is passable except in really high water. Portaging is tough because barbed-wire fence joins all four corners of the bridge. If you portage, close the gate behind you."
