Sakatah Lake State Park

Sakatah Lake State Park Professional Review and Guide

"This is truly a multiuse park. It’s along Upper Sakatah Lake, which is a natural widening of the Cannon River that offers plentiful walleye, northern pike, and bass, and is a calm lake, perfect for canoers. The Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail, which runs from Mankato to Faribault, travels through the park, available for hikers and bikers.

In addition, there are 5 miles of trails graded moderate to challenging within the park. The rolling terrain includes plenty of wildlife viewing and bird watching as well. Campsites are fairly close together, but there are trees to provide shade and some privacy. The campground is connected to the park’s hiking trail and is a short hike to the State Trail. Pets are allowed."
