Lonesome Lake Trail

Lonesome Lake Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This is a really fun ride on excellent roads. The “trail” sends you up and down some small hills as it winds through thick woods, with more of those hulking red and white pines to lead the way.

There is also a bevy of maple and aspen that blaze bright in the fall and spoil your concentration. A fun (but very short) singletrack trail leads down to a quiet lake that isn’t on many maps and isn’t named—I dubbed it Lonesome Lake. There’s a nice spot by the shore to set down and absorb the peace of the place, especially around dawn on a crisp autumn morning. Keep your eyes open for moose. Also, check out the great hiking trail to Bass Lake just down the road a piece. Tread: Gravel forest road and a short piece of singletrack."
