Lake One to Bald Eagle Lake

Lake One to Bald Eagle Lake Professional Review and Guide

"This trip offers part lake and part river traveling. There is a good chance to see moose, shoot rapids, and fish for big northern pike. Bring plenty of film; the scenery is outstanding. Most paddlers will elect to forgo the Bruin Lake route and negotiate the arms and bays of the river to the 125-rod portage into Little Gabbro Lake. This will be a good place to camp after a fairly strenuous first day.

Numerous campsites are available on Little Gabbro and adjoining Gabbro Lake. These two lakes have above average fishing for big northern pike and walleyes, and avid anglers could spend a day or even a week here. You are apt to have company as it is a popular fishing location, and also, entry point 33 is located at Little Gabbro."
