Big Lake Loop

Big Lake Loop Professional Review and Guide

"This trip starts at Big Lake and follows a river north to another large lake. Then it picks up a second river and continues north to Lake Agnes. At Lake Agnes it locates a third river and follows it to a fourth river. The trip then proceeds south to Stuart Lake where it transfers to the Stuart River and follows that river south to a long portage back to Big Lake.

Five rivers and three lakes are visited. This is a difficult trip, if completed. However, it can be shortened by putting in and taking out on the Echo Trail. The Stuart River is impassable in dry weather. Independence Day storm–affected area."
