Kingsbury Creek Falls

Kingsbury Creek Falls Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Kingsbury Creek wanders down the ridge from Mogie Lake up above Proctor. William Wallace Kingsbury was well known throughout Minnesota Territory in the 1850s. He spent plenty of time in the Duluth area and built a cabin along this creek. This well-maintained path today is a spur of the Superior Hiking Trail. From the trailhead, hike through deep green and aromatic white pine woods.

These are descendants of the towering, noble whites that grew here for hundreds of years before the logging boom. Hike the trail along a lazy U to a pair of cascading waterfalls. Cedar, pine, and hardwood forest line the boulder-strewn creek. A short way along the trail, a bridge crosses over the creek, with a lovely little waterfall dancing below curved pine branches."
