Falls of Tischer Creek Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Congdon Park is named after Chester Congdon, the prominent Duluth businessman whose early 1900s estate, the Glensheen Mansion, is one of the city’s most popular destinations. Your waterfall tour starts in a canopy of thick woods right below East 1st Street, on the dirt trail next to the creek. Stroll along this scenic trail for a short while to the second footbridge, and listen to the siren song of Wildflower Falls, a rail-thin waterfall situated at a right angle to the creek.
Named for the colorful display of tiny purple and pink and white flowers decorating the crest of the falls in spring, this pretty ribbon of lace pours gently over the red cliff on the opposite side of the gorge, meeting the creek in little splashes."
