Falls of Amity Creek—Amity and Lester Parks Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Amity Creek flows from Antoinette Lake over Duluth’s highest reaches and through stunning scenery of hardwood forest and sentinel pines to a last-minute rendezvous with the Lester River before sliding into Lake Superior. Technically considered a branch of the Lester, Amity has a personality all its own, and shows off three handsome waterfalls along the way.

The hike explores Amity’s falls from bottom to top, with a mix of hiking and driving or cycling, starting from the idyllic neighborhood along Occidental Boulevard, just above Superior Street. A stately pine forest sets the stage for the trip upstream, and just shy of 0.5 mile along the dirt path is the first waterfall. Amity Falls, also known as The Deeps, is the main attraction."
