Wild River State Park

Wild River State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Stretched out along 18 miles of the St. Croix River, this park offers 35 miles of hiking trails and 18 miles of horse trails through the forests and along the river, as well as to the Old Nevers Dam overlook. During winter there are 30 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails and 6 miles of winter hiking trails.

Canoers have plenty of river access, where fishing might net you northern pike, smallmouth bass, and walleye. Naturalist programs are offered year- round. The campsites are heavily wooded and near the river, although few of the sites have actual river views. Pets are allowed."
