Pike Bay Connection

Pike Bay Connection Professional Review and Guide

"This trail of waterways and portages through woods, streams, and lakes makes a tough but pleasant day trip with historical overtones.

From the boat ramp at Pike Bay Campground, paddle east several hundred yards to the stream at the south end of Pike Bay. Portage right about 30 yards around a small dam. Continue along the channel to Ten Section Lake, a shallow wild-rice lake where you are likely to see waterfowl and ospreys. In late summer, when the rice is ripe, you may have to force your way through thick beds of vegetation."
