Norway Beach Recreation Area

Norway Beach Recreation Area Professional Review and Guide

"The four campgrounds within Norway Beach Recreation Area are in Chippewa National Forest and situated near Cass Lake, one of the largest lakes in the state and the source of some excellent waterskiing and fishing for walleye, northern pike, and muskie. Most of the sites are rustic, but the Chippewa loop has electric hookups.

Recreation is a big plus here: There’s a beautiful sandy swimming beach, boat ramps for easy lake access, and 17 miles of hiking trails, some of which run along the water’s edge. The Norway Beach Visitor Center is a historic site, built by the CCC and still in use. Most sites are nicely spaced to allow for privacy. Pets are allowed."
