Swinging Bridge Falls and St. Louis Falls—Jay Cooke State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Although not geographically on the North Shore, Jay Cooke State Park has all the ingredients of lands farther north.

After the St. Louis River journeys from expansive woods and wetlands northwest of Cloquet, it spends some slow time in Carlton’s Thomson Reservoir and then meanders into Jay Cooke State Park. The root beer–brown water stirs along past some of the most breathtaking scenery in Minnesota, a fitting setting for the park’s trio of waterfalls."
