Vermilion River-Table Rock Falls Canyon

Vermilion River-Table Rock Falls Canyon Professional Review and Guide

"Yikes! It can only get easier.

As though it sets out to be deceiving, the Vermilion slyly glides around a bend, picks up a bit of speed, and suddenly plunges over Table Rock Falls (river mile 31.8), a cascading 20-foot drop. The sight from the precipice is riveting. It would be beautiful—affording a long, dramatic view of the rapids-filled gorge below—except that you are too occupied with the business of saving your hide to enjoy it. The falls descends in about four closely spaced pitches, with the clearest route toward river right. Class IV in low water, the falls gets harder and harder as the water level increases."
