River Valley Rover Professional Review and Guide

"This ride is a highlight of the river valley trails. You get a great chance to warm up on the old Cedar Avenue bridge and its adjoining paved road, then jump onto dirt singletrack right on the edge of the river. The trail stays close to the water all the way to a drainage inlet, then tracks off into the woods. It gets better when you meet with the popular bluff trail at Bloomington’s southern border.

A mix of hard-packed dirt and stretches of deep sand lets you use some different skills, and there are several steep climbs and descents to give your adrenaline a little spike. One downside to this trail is the crowds, especially on weekends. It’s easy to run into or get plowed over by another rider. Tread: 6.1 miles dirt singletrack; 3.2 miles paved road."
