Gull Lake Recreation Area Professional Review and Guide
"This recreation area has, among other offerings, several large Native American burial mounds that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, some of which date back to 800 BC. This campground’s location on the Gull River at the outlet of Gull Lake, one of the state’s most popular lakes, provides good lake access—and good fishing, including stocked walleye, northern pike, and bass.
The lake is also popular with boaters, water- skiers, and swimmers. There are hiking trails with interpretive signs as well. The campsites are very generously spaced, allowing for plenty of privacy. Pets are allowed."
