Sinclair Lewis Campground

Sinclair Lewis Campground Professional Review and Guide

"This campground is along the shores of Sauk Lake, with some campsites right on the lake. It’s also adjacent to Sinclair Lewis Park and within easy walking distance to downtown Sauk Centre and, should you be so inclined, to the boyhood home of Sinclair Lewis and an interpretive museum dedicated to him.

Fishing for crappie and walleye can be done from the pier, or boats can use the landing to access the lake. (Note: Sauk Centre has an annual Sinclair Lewis festival in mid- July that attracts sizable crowds. If you’re interested in staying at this campground around the time of that festival, reserve well in advance.) Campsites are fairly crowded and not terribly private. Pets are allowed."
