Pine Grove State Forest Campground Professional Review and Guide
"This is a remote simple spot to get away from it all and have access to some paddling or trout fishing in the Pigeon River. The 80-mile High Country Trail connects this campground with 8 others throughout Pigeon River Country State Forest, famous for its large free- roaming elk herd. This isn’t a bad home base for some hiking or paddling, and backcountry hik- ers/campers may choose it. But there’s nothing here but the basics under a fine canopy of trees."
