North Country Trail: Michigan 20 to South Nichols Lake Professional Review and Guide
"Combine buffed singletrack and fast, twisting downhills with the natural beauty of the North Country Trail and you have the perfect mountain biking mixture. This is the flattest section of the NCT in this book, making it also the easiest. The route passes through a variety of vegetation, including dense forest and bucolic meadows. It brushes up next to low-lying areas, and its highest hills are found near Six Mile Road.
The route returns on dirt and paved roads that pass by the NCT Schoolhouse, available as a hostel for trail users. It is also possible to make the ride an out-and-back run, cycling as far as you want, or leave a second vehicle at the South Nichols Lake trailhead. Tread: 19.2 miles of singletrack, 4 miles of paved road, 12.4 miles of dirt road."
