Council Lake Dispersed Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Deep in Hiawatha National Forest, this camp has some nice privacy but is very rustic. Located on the south shore of Council Lake in a mixed forest of beech and other hardwoods, the sites are shaded and popular with anglers here to find perch, bass, bluegill, pike, and crappie in this 12-acre lake, part of a chain of lakes. Paddlers also will enjoy this. Be aware there is no water or toilet paper here, and reservations are required."
