Sylvania (Clark Lake) Campground Professional Review and Guide
"The Sylvania Wilderness and Recreation Area lies just over the border from Wisconsin and is part of the Ottawa National Forest. With over 18,000 acres of pristine forest and crystal clear lakes, Sylvania is a gem in the Upper Peninsula and popular for paddlers and campers who want to disappear into the wilderness and search out one of the nearly 100 back- country camping sites. For those who prefer day trips into the primeval forest and a return to the vehicle, there are these 4 campground loops, only 2 of which have modern showers and toilets. Hikers have 26 miles of unmarked trail in the old-growth forest. Paddlers have carry-in access on Clark and Crooked Lakes."
