There appears to always be some controversy circling the Bond Falls Flowage north of Watersmeet. The lake and most of the land around it belong to the Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO). Power companies are never very popular with nature lovers in the first place. Once you visit Bond Falls you will understand why so many people love this place. It is a beautiful spot in the woods, and there is a lot to do and see. The region includes the Bond Falls Scenic Area, a day-use area on the north shore of the lake. There are several pull-through sites, and the facilities are accessible to folks using wheelchairs.
