Bond Falls Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This is a short hike, at only three-quarters of a mile, but Bond Falls is a spectacular sight, and worth a short walk. At just under 50 feet, the drop is impressive, and the opportunity to walk a path within touching distance of this massive powerhouse is too tempting to skip.
The Bond Falls Scenic Site is owned by the Michigan DNR, but the area around the upper falls is maintained in part by the Upper Peninsula Power Company, who own the dam just upriver. Don’t believe, however, that this falls is somehow tame because it is controlled. Rather, think of this as an example of what humans can accomplish when we work in conjunction with nature, rather than against it."
