Van Buren State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Welcome to a mile of sandy beach and dune formations. Though the park is situated right along the shores of Lake Michigan, none of the campsites has a water view. Campers can follow a short walkway to the beach and day-use area. The sites are laid out in 5 parallel loops, each one a bit farther from the beach. Shade is only partial at best in most sites, and the distance between campers is a bit tight. But because of the Big Lake, this park tends to fill up fast for summer weekends and more. Showers may not meet ADA standards. If boating is your thing, a nearby marina has outfitters. The park is just minutes from South Haven and city conveniences."
