Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail

Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail is a hiking, biking, and horse trail in Leelanau County, Michigan. It is within Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It is 9.4 miles long and begins at 599 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 8.3 miles with a total elevation gain of 288 feet. Near the trailhead there is a bicycle parking. The Maple Grove Cemetery (elevation 794 feet) cemetery and the Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore - D. H. Day Campground (elevation 591 feet) camp site can be seen along the trail. This trail connects with the following: Shaager Hill Road and Greenan Road.
