Red pines are known for growing straight and reaching heights of over 100 feet. This Ottawa National Forest campground has 2 loops of sites with parking spurs in the shade of them. Sites are spaced nicely and with intervening understory for good privacy. A beach house serves the popular sandy swimming area. The boat ramp is concrete, and anglers may find walleye, bass, and panfish. The closest hiking is at Lake Ste. Kathryn, a couple miles south of here. While camping is allowed year-round, services are only provided from Memorial Day Weekend through September.
