one of the last un developed beech-maple, hemlock woods/park, in lower Michigan, basic trails fairly well marked, lots of un documented "side" trails but the good news is always head west, you can't miss Lake Michigan! On the main trail you get the Lake in 20 minutes of easy walking, wildflowers are getting ready to pop in another 3 weeks. Have walked there in all seasons, ice formations in winter are amazing, may apples, lady slippers and trillium in the spring, had to beat a jump in the lake in summer, fall tree colors are stunning, and have still jumped in the lake in October, beautiful park, treat it well!
