Foley Creek Campground Professional Review and Guide
"Popularly known as the Mackinac Trail Camp, this long single loop of sites in the woods is just off the interstate and as such has some highway noise. The sites are all shaded well by the healthy forest cover, and sites 2 and 4 to the very south are even rather close to a small creek. There are better parks for a deep woods experience, but this is a decent base camp for enjoying the other attractions of the area. The Carp River is just up the highway for pad- dlers. This isn’t the best park for getting to a beach on Lake Huron, but hikers can experience the lake at Horseshoe Bay on a 6.4-mile moderate trail through the forest preserve there."
