The Carp River is a scenic trout river that offers paddlers a decent flow throughout the season but an experienced paddler’s current in June. The river empties into Lake Huron. This campground offers 2 loops of spacious, private, and shaded sites. Steps lead down to the river in two places, and a trail between sites 8 and 10 has carry-in access. Paddling not your thing? The North Country National Scenic Trail is 8 miles west. The camp is close to the highway, so noise may be a distraction for some.
