With a location along the western banks of the Sturgeon River, the camp is an obvious choice for paddlers, and this is a carry-in access point for the 41-mile canoe trail through the Hiawatha National Forest. However, it is also known for an abundance of wildflowers in the summer. All sites but #1, #3, and #5 are on the river side of the single campground lane, and they are all shady and private. The Flowing Well is exactly what the name suggests, and the water is tested regularly to assure its safety.
