One of the highlights of this park is a visit to the museum inside the his- toric 1857 Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse. The campground is set up right next to the lakeshore, which affords a view of the sunrise over Lake Huron. Sites are grassy, but the meager scattering of trees offers little shade. Rates are reduced in early May and starting in September when schools are back in session.
