Cross Trail Professional Reviews and Guides

"A connector trail between two of the park's major trails. From the southern trailhead on the Little Carp Trail hikers go 0.5 mile before dropping into an extensive wet area known as the Memengwa Swamp. The wetlands can be especially buggy early in the hiking season, and will be challenging regardless of the time of the year you visit.

After 1.5 trail miles, the swamp turns into a relatively dry forest as hikers begin to climb out of the wet basin. A slight climb over the next mile of the trail ends at an overlook that presents the first look at the Big Carp River. Special attractions: Big Carp River, swamp ecology, connector trail possibilities."
