Munuscong River State Forest Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The Munuscong River feeds into the lake of the same name, which is actually part of the St. Marys River connecting Superior to Huron. The lake area is good for wildlife watching. The campground lies south of the river about 2 miles from its outlet. The boat ramp then gives access to the river as well as the lake beyond. The closest hiking is 15 miles away at Pine Bowl Pathway, and off-road trails aren’t much closer. Fishing is good for pike, muskie, bass, walleye, perch, and crappie. The sites are mostly shaded and spacious, with only a few that cannot accommodate a 40-foot vehicle or trailer."
