Old Orchard Campground

Oscoda, Michigan

Old Orchard Campground Professional Review and Guide

"Situated along the River Road Scenic Byway as you head west from Oscoda and Lake Huron, this campground is actually one of the largest in the state. Measuring 4 miles in length, it has shoreline on Foote Pond, which was created when the Foote Dam was built on the Au Sable River in 1906. Shore fishing is popular, and there is an accessible fishing pier. Plentiful park equipment and easy hiking trails make this popular with families. Sites are partly shaded, but on a busy weekend you can expect over 1,000 people in the park."
