The former right-of-way of an early Michigan railroad today is a favorite recreation path stretching from the West Bloomfield Woods Nature Preserve to Sylvan Manor Park. Along its 4.3-mile route, the gentle paved trail passes through wetlands and thin woodlands and around lakes. Interpretive signs explain various habitats. While the trail skirts subdivisions and weaves near some busy intersections, it remains a pleasant walk, especially in the spring and fall.
