Lost Lake Trail

Lost Lake Trail Professional Review and Guide

"A scenic trail through wild forest to an inland lake and coldwater river. From the southern trailhead, the first 0.5 mile of the trail passes through a forested area but quickly climbs along a rocky pathway to the shoulder of Lost Creek.

For about 1.5 miles from the trailhead, hikers will begin a steady ascent to reach an elevation of just over 1,500 feet. As you reach the high point of the trail near Lost Lake, the immense conifers provide a setting that is cathedral-like. With this, take in an equally picturesque view of the lake. Special attractions: Wilderness forest, Lake Superior views, Lost Lake. Upper Carp River."
