Novi North Park Tree Farm

Novi North Park (Tree Farm) Professional Review and Guide

"Not long ago, garbage dotted the 500-acre Novi North Park. Under the dedicated care of local Michigan Mountain Biking Association members, however, the park has become an example of urban renewal. Gone is most of the garbage, leaving a pleasant underused trail with trilliums and marigolds highlighting the spring months.

The singletrack meanders through an old fruit orchard and a Christmas tree farm. Local riders are meeting ongoing interest from the City of Novi to develop the area into a golf course. The trail, however, needs more riders in order to justify its existence. Tread: 6.7 miles of singletrack and wide trail."

This is a fabulous trail. Mostly flat with a few sharp inclines, but nothing to get you winded. Many twisty switchbacks, and several places with optional expert obstacles like big log piles, rock gardens, and steep drop offs. You can bring a novice here for a nice ride, and experts will enjoy the available obstacles. The trail is 10.5 miles. You need a $5 daily pass if not a resident of Novi.
I hiked this. Trail is mainly for mountain bike use, but about three miles of trails are multi-use. There are plenty of marker posts, one can not get lost. This is a pleasant stroll through the woods and a great place to play hookey from work.
This trail is far more advanced than maybury, also there is a group ride every tuesday at 630pm.
I would like to know who called this trail under used. There were at least a hundred cars or more in the lot but the good thing is this trail seems to be handle it no problem. The trail was in really good shape and my wife and I who just started riding this style had an awsome ride.
