Muskegon State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"A fantastic state park on Lake Michigan and Lake Muskegon, the 1,200- plus acres include 2 campgrounds, dunes, a sweeping beach on the big lake, and miles of fan- tastic hiking. Channel Campground lies at the southern edge along a ship channel that connects the big lake to the small. Sites are partly shaded, and of the 2 loops the more eastern of them is a bit more private. This is also right under the rolling dunes and their trails. The Lake Michigan Campground is along the big lake and at the north end of the park. Sites are decently shaded and spacious. Metal detecting, wildlife viewing, and cross-country skiing are popular pastimes here. Alcohol is not permitted in the park."
