High Bridge State Forest Campground

High Bridge State Forest Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Two-Hearted River was made famous by Ernest Hemingway in one of his short stories, only it was actually this river only in name. The Fox River was the actual setting described. Nevertheless, this stream is known for its good fishing for brook trout and steelhead. The camp is right on it, with a handful of secluded and shaded rustic sites. Hikers can get to the North Country National Scenic Trail just 5 miles north of here, and 2 ATV trails are even closer. Many other campgrounds are in the area."
