Hog Island Point State Forest Campground Professional Review and Guide
"This popular state forest camp is unfortunately just off the highway. While that makes it a great stopover for a night, it can also mean traffic noise. As many of the sites are near the water, however, a bit of wave action might eliminate that intrusion. The beach along Lake Michigan is sandy and attractive, but most campers are here and gone, on their way to somewhere else. Lake fishing might get you trout or steelhead. Ramp access, however, is 7 miles away in Nau- binway. Big Knob campground isn’t far off and offers a very secluded, remote experience."
