Cusino Lake State Forest Campground Professional Review and Guide
"This campground is well off the beaten path and is best for those look- ing for some solitude. These are also options for those coming to see Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore during high-season weekends in summer when one hasn’t made a reservation and so many of the other camps are full. It is well shaded and private. Cusino Lake has muskie, perch, and bluegill fishing. Also nearby are Canoe Lake and Gemini Lakes, 3 miles northwest of here, with similar rustic sites. The roads back here are like washboards at times with sandy patches in some places. That 24-mile drive should take you at least an hour."
