Mio Pond State Forest Campground Professional Review and Guide
"This campground is a rustic and well-wooded alternative to the larger Oscoda County Park across the waters of the Mio Pond to the south. Paddlers will find a livery in Mio and will enjoy some on-site access to the water. Anglers look for trout, walleye, pike, and bass. There are also 10 walk-in sites and areas for groups of paddlers traveling the Au Sable River to set up for the night. The sites are nicely separated from each other and get good coverage from the tree canopy."
