Big Bay to Little Presque Isle

Big Bay to Little Presque Isle Professional Review and Guide

"Although much of this stretch of coast consists of private land, almost all has been left in a wild, undeveloped state. Loma Farms is a private estate that has been left wild along the coast—with exception of a large log cabin mansion and private harbor!

The coast is very rugged, and although there are a few sand beaches, most is either sandstone cliffs or volcanic bedrock coast. There are several rocky headlands that although beautiful can make for very rough conditions. This trip is a very long advanced one: 22 miles of rugged coast that must be paddled in one day, but in good weather it is a rewarding paddle well worth the effort."
