Lake Gogebic State Park Professional Review and Guide
"Here’s a good place to get your campsite on the water. One-quarter of the sites here enjoy the lakeside perch on the largest inland lake in the Upper Peninsula. Lake Gogebic is a narrow 350 acres running north to south with a maximum depth of 30 feet. This is also Ottawa National Forest, and while the lake is perfect for fishing and paddling, there are beau- tiful waterfalls nearby and Lake Superior is also not far off. Hikers have a 2-mile nature loop, and the sandy beach is large and sunny and a short walk south from the campground loops."
