Baxter Bridge State Forest Campground

Baxter Bridge State Forest Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A fine stop for overnight paddlers on the Manistee, as well as campers who just enjoy setting up camp near a nice stretch of river. The campground is located on the Manistree River at MI 37, south of Kingsley.

Fly-fishing is a big deal up here, but all sorts of anglers come for the bass, walleye, brown trout, and rainbow trout. The campground itself is pleasant. A thick strand of trees serves to divide the campground in half. The trees offer a lot of shade, even on the sunniest days."
