The tangled roads to get here may deter some, but then that’s what keeps this place deep in the Hiawatha National Forest so secluded—that and the nice arrange- ment of the sites in a loop and staggered so they don’t face each other across the road. Interven- ing brush adds to the privacy. There’s carry-in access to the 84-acre lake, and anglers often catch largemouth bass, crappies, sunfish, perch, bluegill, and even northern pike.
