Peterson Bridge South Campground— Manistee National Forest Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"If your goal is to get on the National Scenic River, the Pine River, this is the only national forest campground that serves you. While 10 of these sites are slightly remote— either walk-in or paddle-up—there are still 20 standard sites. In addition to the paddling and trout- fishing opportunities, this area of the river is also good for a swim and has a sandy beach along the bank. The proper boat launch is located on the north side of the river, across from most of the campsites. Take the highway north over the bridge to get to the entrance road."
